We announced today that Sono Motors will pivot to a purely solar tech company and that we have terminated the Sion program. We are still fully committed to making a real difference in mobility and making every vehicle solar.

At the world's most important exhibition for commercial vehicles, we presented various solar solutions that further advance our mission of ‘solar on every vehicle.’ Alongside the debut of the new Solar Bus Kit, we exhibited four semi-trailers already equipped with our solar technology in collaboration with our partners CHEREAU, Kögel, Mitsubishi and Winglinger.

We’ve made some major progress in the past months and will finalize component approval by December 2021. In the first half of 2022, 11 3rd generation prototypes will be available for testing.
