Your tasks
- Module lead for all exterior systems (panels, lighting, glazing, wash/wipe systems)
- Responsible that all core project targets and deadlines for cost, quality and timing are met by the exteriors module
- Engagement with engineering service providers (ESPs) and external suppliers, managing overall progress towards project milestones
- Effective communication and coordination between lead engineers, module leads and core project functions. To a large extent the teams organize themselves and it is your responsibility to encourage and support this self-organization and to take over classical leadership tasks only when ask for and necessary
- Prioritisation and escalation of issues occurring in the exteriors module
- Development of timing and DVP plans for the complete exteriors module
- Coordinate design and production release of all exteriors systems
- Be a technical referent for the exterior module when required
- Overall focus on production in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way
Requirements
- Degree (BEng/BSc or MSc/MEng) in a relevant engineering discipline: e.g. automotive or mechanical engineering
- Demonstrable relevant experience of team/module lead level in automotive projects
- Excellent project management,organisational and communication skills
- Comprehensive technical understanding of exterior systems
- Previous project management experience with automotive systems
- Ability to interpret whole vehicle requirements to drive exterior development
- Experience with automotive processes and systems (DFMEA, PPAP, APQP)
- Proficienct using PDM/PLM systems
- Enthusiastic about sustainability, passionate about the products we are developing
- Fluent in English. Good knowledge of German is desirable
