Your tasks
- Working with our Tier 1 supplier, you are responsible for the design of LV or HV wiring harnesses and electrical schematics
- For all of these tasks you will be closely aligned internally as well as externally with development partners and suppliers
- Create engineering data to support the creation of Harness drawings
- Analyse and provide systems and environment information to determine electrical requirements for circuit design, e.g.: wire size, fuse rating etc
- Check harness drawings during release process to ensure accuracy of systems design
- Support compatibility reviews to check EDS system design and follow up required actions
- Oversee harness design reviews, prototype builds and test boards
- Support investigation and resolution of DVP related EDS systems issues
- Fault finding and diagnostics on vehicle electrical systems
Requirements
- You have gained a technical university degree, preferably in Electric, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
- Ideally, you should have several years of professional experience in the field of electrical distribution systems
- You know project management not only in theory
- Previous practical EDS design and development experience from an automotive background (OEM or Tier 1)
- Knowledge of vehicle and harness assembly process, especially EDS related aspects
- Good understanding of communication buses (CAN & LIN)
- Experience/Understanding of CATIA V5 or equivalent
- Practical ability for vehicle electrical diagnosis and repair
- Good working knowledge of electrical test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, power supply, etc.)
- Working knowledge of APQP advantageous
- Experience with Arcadia advantageous
- You are fluent in English. (Fluent in German is a plus)
