Your tasks

Engineers on the ViPV Team (Sono Solar) are at the leading edge of next-generation Vehicle Integrated solar products. As a Homologation Engineer Sion Solar, you will be responsible for ensuring a successful homologation of our whole Solar System and its components. You will keep track of the requirements and the progress towards meeting them. The role requires technical know-how, communication skills and a passion for pushing our PV Technology.   • You are working as a homologation engineer taking care of all legal regulations that have to be met in order to homologate our solar technology in the automotive industry
  • You are keeping track of all existing and upcoming regulations, our progress towards meeting them and ensuring that they will be fulfilled
  • You are taking care of all necessary documentation that is required to homologate our components from power electronics to solar body panels
  • You are responsible for establishing and keeping contact to the relevant certification and testing institutions such as TUV, DEKRA or similar
  • You act as an interface between different teams such as vehicle and PV development and mechanical and electrical integration
  • You work in close collaboration with the colleagues involved in quality, reliability and safety
  • Doing that, you always keep in mind the sustainable and environmental friendly execution of the project

Requirements

  • You hold a degree (BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng) in a relevant engineering discipline e.g. automotive, electrical or mechanical engineering
  • You have profound experience in homologating components such as power electronics or exterior components in the automotive industry
  • You have profound technical knowledge and understanding as well as extensive knowledge of relevant norms.
  • You have excellent project management, organisational and communication skills
  • You like to take over responsibility, working proactively and keeping the focus in turbulent times
  • You love to enter new areas and work yourself easily into new topics
  • You work in a structured and conscientious way, ideally you have experience with Scrum and Agile Project Management
  • You are fluent in English and German
  • You are enthusiastic about sustainability and passionate about the products we are developing
