In our discussions with you, we often heard that you would like to have more security to reduce the risk of a total loss. Also, it was said several times that a partial payment option would be helpful and allow for more flexibility.

For deposits of 6,000 Euro or more, we have decided to offer a partial payment plan of three equal partial payments, which are linked to defined milestones and are earliest due on defined dates. The risk of loss is thus reduced to the partial payments made. By spreading the deposit amount over several months, you also get more planning security.

By the way, we can also offer you a discount on milestone-fixed partial payments. This varies depending on the deposit amount and is generally only 300 Euro lower than for a one-time payment.

These Are the 3 Milestones

The milestones are intended to give you more security with regard to financing and the technical development. We only collect the respective partial amount if we have reached the milestone.

Succesful #SaveSion Campaign

If the campaign is successfully completed in accordance with clause 6.1. of our GTC, the first partial payment is due.

The earliest date on which your partial payment is due is 28.02.2023.

Financing of SVC4 Secured

Once we have collected a total of 130 million euros in net payment commitments we will have sufficient liquidity to be able to produce the SVC4 (pre-production vehicle).

The earliest date on which your partial amount is due is 31.03.2023.

The SVC4 Leaves Production

When the first SVC4 (pre-production vehicle) has been assembled, the third milestone is considered to have been successfully achieved.

The earliest date on which your partial amount is due is 15.06.2023.

Amount of Your Partial Payments and Your Discount

The minimum amount of the deposit is 6,000 Euro for the milestone-linked partial payment. The deposit amount you select is divided by three, which results in three equal partial payments. At 6,000 Euro, three partial payments of 2,000 Euro each would have to be paid.

The discount granted is calculated according to the discount levels and the amount of your discount depends on the deposit amount you choose. If you select the minimum amount of 6,000 Euro, 300 Euro will be deducted from the list price (29,900 Euro). The price of your Sion would then be 29,600 Euro.

Any person who wants to make a reservation deposit of 6,000 Euro or more on an existing or new reservation can use partial payments. So, you can also benefit from partial payments if you have already participated in the #savesion campaign.

Yes, that is possible, by doing these 3 steps:

  1. increase your deposit by 6,000 Euro or more now
  2. select “Pay in three partial amounts” during the raise
  3. request the application of partial payments towards your associated reservation or raise made during the #savesion campaign at info@sonomotors.com.

The milestones are important points regarding funding and development of the Sion program.

Milestone 1: Successful #SaveSion campaign
If the campaign is successfully completed in accordance with clause 6.1. of our GTC, the first partial payment will be due. The earliest date on which your partial payment is due, is the 28.02.2023.

Milestone 2: Funding for SVC4 secured
Once we have collected a total of 130 million Euro in net payment commitments we will have sufficient liquidity to be able to produce the SVC4 (pre-production vehicle). The earliest date on which your partial payment is due 31.03.2023.

Milestone 3: The SVC4 leaves production
When the first SVC4 (pre-production vehicle) has been assembled, the third milestone is also considered to be successfully achieved. The earliest date on which your partial payment is due is 15.06.2023.

Due dates are the earliest dates on which the partial payments are due, even if the milestone has been reached earlier. The due dates are to give you more planning security and prevent that partial payments are due too quickly one after the other.

By linking the due date of the partial payments to the milestones, the risk of total loss is reduced from payment to payment. If one of the milestones does not occur, you also do not pay the affected partial payments.

At 6,000 Euro, the three partial payments are 2,000 Euro each.

At 15,000 Euro the three partial payments are 5,000 Euro each.

The amount of your three partial payments depends on the amount of your purchase price and any deposit already made.

Example:
Purchase price 25,500 Euro, as originally agreed, and you have already paid 5,000 Euro:
25,500 Euro purchase price
- 5,000 Euro already made deposit earlier
- 1,500 Euro discount

Payment of the remaining purchase price would be made in 3 partial payments of 6,333.33 Euro each.

Purchase price 29,900 Euro new reservation

- 1,500 Euro discount

The payment of the purchase price would be made in 3 partial payments of 9,466.67 Euro each.

This now exists for 2 reasons:

  1. In order to guarantee you legal security for this partial payment option, we have added "special conditions" to the GTC.
  2. You had given us feedback on minor editorial ambiguities. We have now also corrected  these, e.g. clause 6.1 of the German version.
