Design Verification Engineer E/E (f/m/x)

Your tasks

  • Working with our Tier 1 supplier, you are responsible for the verification and validation of LV and HV wiring harnesses and electrical schematics
  • For all of these tasks you will be closely aligned internally as well as externally with development partners and suppliers
  • Select and create relevant requirements per program and gain agreements to the requirements from the supplier
  • Plan and create the design verification plans
  • Carry out vehicle and test board level testing and produce test reports
  • Communicate issues to the team and report out the status
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure that our requirements are adhered too
  • Participate in EDS design/development meetings to understand and be aware of issues
  • Report results and advise risk of failures
  • Follow up on open issues to bring to a satisfactory conclusion
  • Advise on subsequent design changes and develop signoff retest plans where required
  • Ensure EDS requirements for test vehicles/Buck/rigs etc. are made, agreed and shown on timing plan
  • Track EDS Deviations for requirements that cannot be met
  • Participate in durability reviews
  • Review the DFMEA with suppliers and assist in updating the documents

Requirements

  • You have gained a technical university degree, preferably in Electric, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
  • Ideally, you have several years of professional experience in the field of DVP (wiring harness / electrical distribution systems)
  • You know project management not only in theory
  • Previous practical EDS design and development experience from an automotive background (OEM or Tier 1)
  • Extensive experience of DVP, sign off processes and creating requirements
  • Solid understanding of vehicle EDS and electrical systems
  • Good working knowledge of electrical test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, power supply, etc.)
  • Practical ability for vehicle electrical diagnosis and repair (fault finding)
  • Experience/Understanding of CATIA V5 or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of APQP advantageous 
  • Knowledge of Vehicle and harness assembly process, especially EDS related aspects
  • You are fluent in English. (Fluent in German is a plus)
